About Osatyam

Osatyam Wellness & Ritual is an Atlanta-based holistic wellness company founded in April 2013 by Crystal E. Monds. Rooted in traditional Hatha yoga training completed through immersion study with masters in Mysore, South India, and guided by the ancestral wisdom of Creole and African Diasporic traditions, Osatyam offers yoga and meditation instruction alongside a handcrafted line of spa and ritual wellness products.

For over twelve years, Osatyam has centered the healing, autonomy, and deep joy of Black people, Black women, BlaQueer, QTPoC, and historically underserved communities across the South. We provide, whether or not the money is there, because our people deserve this practice.

About the Founder, Crystal E. Monds

Crystal E. Monds is the founder of Osatyam Wellness & Ritual, an Atlanta-based holistic wellness company. A BlaQueer Southern-born healing practitioner, visual artist, and organizer, she holds E-RYT 200 and YACEP credentials from Yoga Alliance and is a Public Voices fellow of The OpEd Project.

Long Bio

Crystal E. Monds is the founder of Osatyam Wellness & Ritual, an Atlanta-based holistic wellness company established in April 2013 following immersion training with masters in Mysore, South India. A BlaQueer Southern-born healing practitioner, visual artist, and organizer, Crystal has spent over a decade providing yoga, Healing Justice facilitation, and community wellness programming to Black people, Black women, BlaQueer, QTPoC, and historically underserved communities across the South. She served as an organizer, homebase, and healer with Southerners on New Ground (SONG), facilitated healing spaces in service of the Movement for Black Lives nationally, and was photographed as a Black Lives Matter activist by Sheila Pree Bright for the Chronicle Books publication #1960Now, with prints held in the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. She also serves as Communications & Technology Manager at Amplify Georgia Collaborative, building Reproductive Justice narratives, and is a Public Voices fellow of The OpEd Project. She holds E-RYT 200 and YACEP credentials from Yoga Alliance.
